กล่องคอนกรีตกำจัดขยะ
Concrete box is a municipal solid waste disposal technology that scales down the system of sanitary landfill and temporary into a smaller sum unit, combining the cheap and simple technologies adding convinces to a space limited site. The distinction of this system is through the utilization of paddy soil as electron acceptor to enhance microbial activities. Although not required, it is strongly recommended that waste be separated through the arrangements of layers switching between red ion oxide or regular soils with the ratio of mixing two tons of waste and 840 kg of paddy soil are put as layers alternately in a concrete box. Within 60 days, the waste volume is reduced by approximately 60% and weighs approximately 600 kg. However, unlike most composting systems, the decomposition can be maximize at an optimum rate can be reached without the turning and rotation of the waste pile is not necessary. Microorganisms play an important role in the composting process. With the microbes ability to decompose the organic composition through a nature helping nature process, the decomposition activities heat is then released, which in order to create a optimum environmental for the maximum yield of decomposition, the requirement of red ion oxide or regular soils and a seven day watering cycle is required. A screening process then removes the materials that are not decomposed. the compost is exposed to sunlight for 7 days to kill germs and diseases. Level of nutrients (N, P, K) and heavy metals found in the compost meets the national standard. Therefore, the compost can be used to grow flowers and plants. Research is also underway to finally utilize the compost (mixture of compost, cement, and red soil) to restore the mangrove areas, which are in accordance with His Majesty the King’s initiation in solving the loss and deterioration of mangrove area in Phetchaburi Province.
